Hi, I’m Christophe. I’m 36, Swiss and British, married to an English woman, and we have two young daughters. We live in Bassins, in the canton of Vaud.

I’ve been working with the Vaud Gendarmerie since 2014, and I’m currently a dog handler in the canine unit. Through this role, I’ve gained a very practical understanding of how Switzerland works on the ground; not just the laws, but also the habits, expectations, and small details that make everyday life run smoothly here.

Outside of my professional life, I’ve also had to deal with complex administrative procedures in my private life, including estate and guardianship matters. Going through these processes myself taught me how stressful and overwhelming Swiss paperwork can feel, especially when you are under pressure or unfamiliar with the system.

I’ve lived in the canton of Vaud all my life, particularly around the La Côte region. This allows me to offer truly local, practical guidance, combined with a strong focus on security, rules, and everyday best practices so that you and your family can settle in with confidence and avoid common mistakes.
